[ET7304] Power System Stability and Control (전력시스템 안정도 및 제어)
Time
Tue. 14:30 / Thu. 14:30
Course Description
The objective of this course is to introduce the basic concepts of power system stability and control which are very important issues in power system operation. In the first half of lecture, we will learn about the equipment characteristics and modelling which are essential for the understanding of power system. In the latter half, we will learn about active and reactive power control (AGC, AVR, etc), small-signal stability, transient stability, voltage stability, and subsynchronous oscillations. Methods of improving stability will also be studied briefly.

[ET6301] Power Systems Analysis (전력시스템공학)
Time
Tue.14:30/Wed.14:30
Course Description
This course provides students with an introduction to the basic concepts of power systems. Basic features of electric power systems including phasors, complex power, and three-phase circuits are presented in the first place of the course. To offer students with the capability of transmission system analysis, the key knowledge about power transformer, transmission line parameters, and power flow analysis are provided in the course. The fundamental economic operation of power systems is illustrated in terms of minimizing fuel cost of generation systems. Fault analysis and brief introduction to distribution system are also studied in this course.

[ET4305] Introduction to microgrids (마이크로그리드 개론)
Time
Mon. 09:00 / Wed. 09:00
Course Description
With the increase of distributed generations, various types of microgrids such as buildings, homes, and campuses have been developed. In this course, microgrids and distributed generations are introduced. Microgrid's characteristics, components, operation strategies, and control methods of distributed generations are briefly studied.

[ET2101] Energy and future society (에너지와 미래사회)
Time
Mon. 13:00 / Wed. 13:00
Course Description
As energy fusion era and new climate regime come, the importance of energy conversion/stroage/power converter and transmission/machine control which are core technologies of sustainable energy system, and furthermore their technological and policy issues will be introduced. As a result, it wlill also be discussed how these technologies change the energy mix in the industry, transportation, and residential environment during the coming period, and also change the future transportation system (Electrical Vehicle and Hydrogen Electrical Vehicle) and home appliances such as drones, robots, smart devices, internetd of things.
